I just purchased this book and read it and I love it. I am committed and in fact this book is directed to a partner and how to communicate with one another. I liked how they talked about managing conflict in their relationship. In the book, comparing the struggle that couples to a "dance", when couples fight, push buttons and other reactions only to come and go in a "dance". This book certainly made me think about how to deal with my relationship and I am struggling with my boyfriend. Another point raised is the one book that should never be against your partner in a discussion, you must remember that on the same side, is on target (the argument is resolved!) This book made me think about how to deal my partner, I must treat with respect, because it is God's gift to me, not my enemy! Really, really think this book should be read by all before marriage and divorce were denied most of the time! I highly, highly recommend!
This is an excellent tool for pre-marital. I learned a lot and I recommend it to anyone considering marriage. It is a great adviser Couselling before. Our date is a little over a year in the future, but both are of the mindset of our heads and our hearts and minds to the right before venturing into our life together. This book helps to describe and provide details on how to make rational decisions about the most important decision you can make in your life. I warn everyone. Do not take their vows lightly. Count the cost before starting to build.

good advice for those in their first serious relationship
This book had a lot of good information, especially for those in their first serious Christian relationship.
My boyfriend and I have read this book and revised each chapter. In general, it is a great tool that allows the talks. Has enabled us to achieve more about us and how we relate to others. There are 2 disadvantages of this book. First, it could be much shorter. Some parts are repeated too much and could be strengthened. Two, most of the stories are a bit Smalley. . . cheesy. But if a book can you and your significant other to start to open up and talk about issues not discussed before, it is your job!
